Vision Narrative

Students at Garden Valley School will gain pride and respect in their school and community, and confidence in themselves. The students will have access to core academic curriculum and technology related opportunities.

The “No Child Left Behind Act” requires that all students be proficient in the areas of reading, language arts, math and science by 2014.  The District accepts this challenge and has prepared a long range plan to implement and achieve the requirements and goals of NCLB.  The educational programs in the District will reflect the NCLB and state guidelines and focus on proficiency and yearly academic growth for all students.  The District’s mission aligns with NCLB with its focus on basic and technological skills.

Extracurricular activities including clubs and athletics will be offered. There will be community education, volunteerism, and involvement. Opportunities in fine arts such as music, painting, and pottery would be included.  These activities will provide students additional opportunities to learn about respect, responsibility, commitment and integrity.

Technological equipment will be continually upgraded to assure students are working with current technology. Opportunities will be available for students who are in need of credit recovery or alternative forms of educational offerings.  Counseling services will be offered.

Garden Valley School will have facilities for elementary and secondary students. They should be clean, spacious, productive, and have positive atmosphere where it is apparent there is pride and ownership of the facilities. The environment will be an efficient learning environment conducive to accomplishing local, state and national goals.
